Steel Structure Fitter (M/F/X)

Responsibilities:

  • Assembling, fitting and positioning steel components for wind turbine towers.
  • Performing shell-to-shell and shell-to-flange connections in accordance with technical documentation.
  • Reading technical drawings, assembly instructions and process specification sheets.
  • Marking out, measuring and checking the geometry of assembled components.
  • Preparing components for welding processes.
  • Performing tack welds using the MIG/MAG welding process.
  • Working with welders during the production of SAW-welded joints.
  • Operating power tools, pneumatic tools and measuring equipment.
  • Carrying out assembly adjustments and corrections.
  • Verifying that completed work complies with technical documentation and quality requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience in steel structure assembly or a similar position.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of power tools and measuring equipment.
  • Accuracy and the ability to work in accordance with technical documentation.
  • Willingness to work shifts.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience performing MIG/MAG tack welds is an advantage.
